After Week Six
Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 08:54PM More college football.
Found this on the superb Georgia Tech Sports Blog. Apparently Ga Tech held a tremendous pep rally recently. The entire team was there. The band was there. The cheerleaders were there. Tech legend Joe Hamilton spoke. Lots of great things happening.
Only problem?
In an apparent miscommunication of epic proportions, very few Tech students and fans knew about this rally. According to reports, coach Chan Gailey was embarrassed, and frustrated fans report having no idea whatsoever that the rally had been organized.
What a mess. I wonder how the players felt?
I've read a lot of GT sites expressing pretty serious discomfort with coach Gailey. I wonder if this is kind of the symbolic event for his regime if he in fact loses his job at some point. Classic light's on but nobody's home moment.
Wow.
