Steve Breaston video

No reason, just because it's cool.

See here.

Via persistently grumpy as a wolverine MGoBlog.

One comment on Breaston---he really needs to improve as a receiver.  Great athlete, has that special knack on returns.  But is a pretty modest receiver.

Most Michigan websites and fans have Breaston as one of their starting receivers this season.  That could spell trouble.  I have to believe the talented host of backups will produce one player who can be a more reliable target than Breaston to play alongside Jason Avant.

that's... uh, interesting. Breaston hasn't had a ton of opportunities with Braylon and Avant around but when he's healthy he's been very good. Good hands, killer YAC. His route running is okay, could be killer this year with his cutting ability.

I'm surprised you would say that he's a modest receiver. He's a tough SOB who can play with broken fingers and stuck it out with others taking the spotlight. Breaston is simply the most under-rated player on the Michigan football team... He's had very few opportunities to shine at receiver, due to Michigan having way too much talent.

None of those address his skills as a receiver. He's never been much of a possession guy, he's never done much when asked as the speed guy on the outside.

There's a reason Braylon Edwards and Jason Avant get so many catches and it's not simply that they're great talents. Breaston's just not a great fit as an everydown receiver. It doesn't mean that he's not tough, that he's not patient, that he's not under-rated. It just means he's not a great receiver.

Ted Ginn isn't a great receiver, either! But he can do amazing things with the ball in his hands. Same with Breaston.

After watching the horrible game to the fucking Irish, I agree...
