More UGA

This time, the Mascot.

UGA VI won "Best Mascot in the SEC" from TurnerSouth broadcasting this weekend, as voted by users on its website.  Yes, I tend to publicize stuff sent to me via email, as random as it may be.  The award was presented during Turner's "best of" original show, Blue Ribbon.  The show airs regularly on Wednesdays at 1030 PM Eastern on Turner South.

Good job, UGA.

how could anyone vote the dog as a better mascot than Auburn's eagle??? The Eagle is awesome

Seeing as how Auburn's mascot is the TIGER, I don't think the eagle qualifies.
Now if AU is willing to drop Plainsmen and Tiger, then maybe we can bring the eagle in as a contestant.

Most would consider LSU's tiger before Auburn's Plains... Tig... Eagle. Geez, pick a damn mascot already!

yeah actually what is the deal with Auburn then... they are the Tigers as we all know, but then what do you call the Eagle, if it's not the mascot?

USC is the Trojans, but we consider our mascot to be Traveler, the white horse.

Chip off the old block. His Daddy, UGA V, would be proud.

UGA V
* Starred in a supporting role in "Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil", playing the part of his grandfather, UGA III(1997)
* Named 'Best Mascot in America' by SI and appeared on it's cover(1997)
* Almost bit Robert Baker's nuts off immediately after Baker scored a TD in the 1996 Auburn-Georgia game

More on Uga's Baker bite--if I am not mistaken he bit at Baker's nuts after Baker had just scored a TD to put Auburn up 28-7. The resultant fear of losing nuts shut down Auburn for the rest of regulation--UGA tied it at 28, then won it in OT 56-49.

UGA is the man....ERRRR Dog :-). I would have to agree that he is the best mascot.
