So, Like, Mark Richt is Like, an Enabler, Man

Far out.

I watched The Big Lebowski the other night.  My apologies.

[Sophomore safety Antonio] Sims was already suspended from the team this year, but [Georgia coach Mark] Richt had given him another opportunity to stay on scholarship despite having been found to orchestrate a parking pass scam on campus and then being charged with a DUI last fall.

Parking scam?  How very UCLA of Sims.

Does this previous lenience make coach Richt an enabler?

And look, he's got a history of letting misbehaving players return to his team.

OMG OMG OMG bring down the house on Georgia! OMG OMG OMG Loose ship!

Er... no.

Yay satire.

My buddy was the "victim" of the "parking scam." Basically Sims stole his pass to a parking deck, used it as his own, and got caught. Now he's in trouble for stealing someone's UGA ID and spending the money on the card. Basically the kid's a thief.

Shouldn't Richt have learned his lesson? Just give the kid the Warrick discount and hope everybody looks the other way.
