They are by far the superior program in the state of alabama..if you can't see that, then you probably want a playoff or something.

Auburn? Contemporarily, yes.

But only two programs historically command as much power and prestige as Alabama: Notre Dame and USC.

Auburn's recent success is evident and great, but they're much closer to UCLA and Georgia Tech than they are Notre Dame and USC, historically.
