Light Posting Today

There's this little futbol game to keep an eye on.

Landon Donovan---US Soccer's Reggie Bush, without the housing scandal

I know I've criticized soccer, but the World Cup gets a pass.  These guys are the best of the best and a lot of the innane aspects of the sport disappear when it's played at such a high level.

Besides, the early matches (sans Poland's listless effort) have been outstanding.  We're really being spoiled this time around.

Go USA.

Well, at least if we know the US can still beat the rest of the world in Football (as opposed to futbol).

I took great comfort in this during my agonizing three weeks in France several years ago.

That was a painful game to watch. I thought we'd lose the game, but not necessarily look like complete crap in the process.
