Off Topic: Anchorman

No, not that Anchorman.

This one: Paul Moyer

CBS Los Angeles news anchor Paul Moyer had a pre-broadcast spat several years ago with co-anchor Ann Martin which is the stuff of legend in L.A.  Listen to the entire audio here.

LA Observed has background, plus this excerpt which cracks me up:

Paul: I'm not going to sit here night after night and put up with this s***. OK?
Ann: Night after night? Night after night?

Ann: You started it pal.
Paul: Let me tell you something, kiddo. You want Harold Greene you might get him.
Ann: Fine with me. Fine with me.
Paul: Oh is it really?
Ann: Good old Harold Greene.

[Stage manager: 30 seconds!]

Paul: You know, you go home and have a couple of shooters and i don't know what the f*** happens, but you come back you're not the same lady.
Ann: That's not true.

I was reminded of the Moyer/Martin squabble while watching this video of Eddie Griffin crashing that $1.5 million Ferrari.  Who else to cover the story but ... good old Ann Martin.

When are we going to hear the finding on USC Reggie Bush NCAA violations, has it been swept under the rug, there's been more than enough time to get to the truth!!!

The delay has nothing to do with things being swept under a rug. That's crazy talk.

The NCAA doesn't have the power to compel testimony and the Bush folks aren't talking. So all we have are allegations and accusations from a bunch of ex-cons which the NCAA is rightly weary of and nothing from the other side to confirm or deny said accusations.

If anything comes of it, it will be from the pending government investigation (and potential trial) AGAINST the New Era people. The government is gathering evidence to see if they tried to blackmail the Bush family.

The only accusation to date against USC has been an anonymous suggestion that one of the USC coaches knew about Bush's house sometime before USC's Rose Bowl game against Texas. Anonymous, of course.

Bush/his family have been accused of far greater things obviously, but so far there's simply no link to USC.
