ESPN College GameDay: Week Two

Virginia Tech ... again.  But this time they're in Baton Rouge playing LSU.  GameDay meant well but they royally screwed up by not making it out to Berkeley for the Cal/Tennessee game last weekend.

As for the featured game: Sean Glennon playing four quarters against the LSU defense won't be a pretty sight.

If ND wouldn't have laid an egg, they would've been at Penn State.

VaTech @ LSU would have always been the choice. It's the marquee matchup this weekend. ND winning would not have brought GameDay to Happy Valley.

Would I say GameDay screwed up by not going to Cal-Tennessee? Not really. The story behind the game at VaTech was much bigger than the revenge angle of the Pac10-SEC matchup. Was it the best football-influenced decision? No. But it was the right one.

What did the tragedy at VT have to do with football? I know they have a strong football tradition but to me it came off as a creation of ESPN's declaration that this is how the Virginia Tech community would move on. Gameday is a college football show and show go to the marquee game of the week. Then again, its just a tv show and people take it too seriously.

Lee Corso is such a DORK! What idiot would go on national television and sit behind a blank note pad holding a unsharpened pencil for an entire show. He's about as sharp as his pencil and needs to start holding a door knob.
